You can add an optional step to ensure that metrics consume only verified data.
The data verification step allows you to hold data until it meets your specific requirements. By verifying data before they are used in metrics, you can help prevent errors and inaccuracies in the calculated values. This ensures that your insights are based on trustworthy information.
How to Activate Data Verification
To activate the data verification step, follow these steps:
- Go to the General tab of the data source.
- Go to the Data verification card and click the Change button.
-
In the right-hand panel, click on the Data available to other modules with verification process option.
What Happens Next?
Once you've added a data verification step:
- If there are existing data in the data source, they will still be available for connected metrics.
- A new column called "Data available?" will indicate the status of the verified data.
- Note that you can change this option at any time.
Completing the Data Verification Step
To make data available for metrics, complete one of the following steps:
- Create a task with at least one approval step and wait for it to be completed
- Manually select the data you want to verify (and subsequently make available for metrics)
Additional Information
Note that all data verification steps will also be recorded in the activity log to providing a detailed history of changes made to your data sources. This means that every time you add or modify a data verification step, it will be reflected in the system's activity log, allowing for easy tracking and auditing of any changes.
By taking these extra steps, you can ensure that your connected metrics are based on accurate and reliable data.
