Content block types
Click into any page in the report to design and edit the appearance of the page in the editing window. Click (+) to add content to the page.
- Text: Add and delete text to appear on the page. Edit text style, color, and formatting. Include paragraph elements such as headings, block quotes, bulleted and numbered lists. Include rich media such as URLs and links for Google Maps, SoundCloud, YouTube, Giphy, Codepen, and more. Include data points from specified Metrics from the page editing sidebar once the text block is added to the page. See below for further details.
- Image / Gallery: Add an image or gallery to the page by dragging and dropping or browsing local PC files. Uploaded images will adhere to the aspect ratio of the content. If multiple images are added, a gallery will automatically be created. Captions and Alt text can be added to each image. Max file size for image uploads is 20 MB.
- Video: Embed a video by entering a URL. Captions can be added to each video.
- Indicator: Add or create an Indicator by selecting the desired Indicator from the Indicator Library or by creating a new Indicator (details regarding Indicators and the Indicator Library will be covered in later sections of this guide). Edit the font, color, and style of the Indicator heading.
- Divider: Add a divider line to separate sections of content. Divider thickness can be customized with thin, medium, and thick options. Divider lines can also be customized between solid and dashed.
- Banner: Add a banner to draw attention to a specific element or to separate content. Banner width will always be set to the full width of the page. Banner height can be customized, with options for small, medium, and large. Banner background color can be customized or set to an image. Images can be added by selecting from local PC files or dragging and dropping. Only one image can be used per banner background. Text can be added to the banner, and text style, color, and font can be edited.
- Table: Add a table to the page. The number of table rows and columns can be edited, and alternating row colors and header color can be specified. Include data points from specified Metrics from the page editing sidebar once the table is added to the page. See below for further details.
Data points
Data points from specified Metrics can be added into a text or table type content box.
- Within a text content box, click into the text box and click Insert Data point, or within a table content box, click into an individual table cell and click Insert Data point.
- Select the Metric which includes the data point that will be included in the report page.
- Set attribute parameters to appropriately filter the data within the selected Metric and create a pivot table.
- Once the data is filtered, a lightning bolt symbol will appear when hovering over cells. This symbol indicates that a cell can be inserted into the report page as a data point.
- Click into the desired cell to insert its data point into the report page.
- Click Save.
- The selected data point will appear in the text box or table. Text can be typed around the data point. Click the data point to see a formatting menu to edit the appearance of the data point, access Metric details, and delete the data point.
- As the specific Metric cell is updated, all connected in-text or in-table data points will automatically update as well.
Adding and moving blocks
Continue to build the report page with the desired specifications.
- Add additional content blocks by hovering over the top or bottom border of an existing block.
- Hover over the left edge of a content block to edit and move.
- Click into a content block to access icons to swap content (change the type of content in the block), duplicate (duplicate item will appear to the right of the selected object by default), and delete.
- Highlight text to format and edit the selection.
- Update the page status to Draft or Ready.
